Gentlemen:
The Kentucky Division will meet in Corbin, Kentucky on the weekend of 18-20 June, 2010, for its annual reunion. The Arthur and Caudill Camps will jointly host the event, led by Cumberland Brigade Commander David Chaltas.
A couple of points must be made and stressed at this time:
First, this is an election year. We'll be electing a new Division Commander and Lieutenant Commander. No candidates have yet announced, but I expect that to happen forthwith. If any of you wish to throw your hat into the ring for either position, now is the time to do it. It is also an appropriate time to nominate others who you think would do either job well.
Second, it's time to get awards recommendations in. As in the past, I'll be coordinating that myself, so get recommendations for Division Meritorious Service, Division Distinguished Service, and the Squire Bottom award in ASAP, so a committee can be formed to decide on them. Be thinking about national awards, as well, for I'll soon be calling for them, too.
If you need time on the agenda, please contact Commander Chaltas directly. He'll communicate such to me.
It's been some time since we've met in the eastern part of the Commonwealth for our reunion, and I'm looking forward to it. Let's all chip in and support Commander Chaltas and the Cumberland Brigade as they put this one together for us.
Thomas Y. hiter
Commanding
The Kentucky Division
